In the opening chapters, Kathi shares her personal experience in trying to pray for her husband. She often felt like she was repeating the same prayers or not praying effectively for him. Then she began using Scriptures in her prayers. She talks about how this blessed her husband and shares some practical tips for cultivating a daily prayer time.

Most of the book is hands-on prayer suggestions for a variety of needs, from Employment and Work Issues to His Past Mistakes to His Parenting. Kathi shares prayers from other wives as well and some answered prayers.

I appreciated this book for its practical, hands-on advice. Like Kathi, I often feel unsure of what to pray for in my husband’s life. This little book gave me a wealth of resources with both Scriptures and prayers to meditate on while praying.

Praying God’s Word for Your Husband includes a chapter on praying when your husband isn’t a believer. There is also a Scripture index at the back if you wish to look up a specific Bible verse and pray it for your husband. Kathi’s beautiful, practical book is sure to bless any marriage.
